Harrington Police Arrest Man for DUI

HARRINGTON, Del. – On Oct. 7, Harrington Police Department arrested Joseph D. Columbo, 28, of Dover for driving under the influence and related charges.

While on patrol at about 12:24 a.m., officers stopped a vehicle on Center St. for a traffic violation. Officers said when they contacted Columbo and spoke to him, they detected an odor of alcohol coming from the vehicle.

Officers then administered standard field sobriety tests to Columbo. After completing the tests, Columbo was taken into custody and transported to the Harrington Police Department for processing.

Columbo was charged with failure to signal turn, failure to stop at stop sign, failure to have insurance identification in possession, and driving under the influence of alcohol. He was issued traffic summons and released pending a future court appearance in Justice of the Peace Court 7.
