Delaware DNREC Sets Public Hearing and WIAC Meeting

DOVER, Del.— A public hearing and meeting is scheduled for Wednesday, Oct. 15 to address a revised draft from the Water Infrastructure Advisory Council. 

The meeting is set to begin at 9 a.m. followed by a public hearing in the Kent County Administration Complex Conference Room 220. 

The meeting has the following topics on the agenda:

WIAC updates
  • Department of Labor Presentation – state prevailing wage rates
  • Introduction of new Division of Water Director, Virgil Holmes
  • City of Rehoboth Beach – EIS wastewater outfall project update
New business
  • WIAC vote to recommend draft revised FY 2014 CWSRF and DWSRF PPLs and IUPs
  • CWSRF project funding requests:
    • Sussex County – Angola North sewer project
    • Town of Lewes – Savannah Place and Highland Acres sewer projects
  • Wastewater Planning Matching Grant requests
  • Surface Water Matching Planning Grant requests
  • Community Water Quality Improvement Grant requests
  • Proposed Drinking Water Facility Matching Planning Grant program
  • Proposed interim CWSRF and DWSRF interest rates policy
