Car Crashes into Milford Rite Aid

MILFORD, Del.- Authorities say several people were injured after a car crashed into a drugstore in Milford on Friday afternoon.

Milford police said it happened at around 1:30 p.m. at the Rite Aid Pharmacy on Northeast Front Street.

Police said a 1994 Toyota Camry, operated by 45-year-old Margalie Charles, of Milford, was driving eastbound on Northeast Front Street when her vehicle left the roadway for an unknown reason and struck the building.

Police said Charles, along with an employee of Rite Aid and two customers, were taken to area hospitals for treatment of minor injuries. According to police, one of the injured was transported to Bayhealth in Dover, two were transported to Bayhealth in Milford, and one was taken to Beebe Medical Center in Lewes.

Police said Charles was charged with careless driving.
