Kent Co. Teen Killed in "Tragic Accident"

Posted:
FELTON, Del. (WBOC) - A Kent County teen is dead following what's being called a "tragic accident." The 14-year-old Felton boy died Saturday.

Delaware State Police are conducting a death investigation. A cause of death has not yet been determined.

"DSP can't comment on the specifics of this case," said Master Cpl. Gary Fournier. "But troopers wants to make sure parents warn their kids about any games that have a person tie an object around their neck to the point of passing out to obtain a euphoric high."

The boy was in middle school in the Lake Forest School District. Both his school's principal and the district superintendent sent notifications Monday to families.

The notices say there are counselors available to any child having a difficult time coping with this death in Felton.
