SALISBURY, Md. – Gas prices continue to drop to record lows in 2014 around the country and around Delmarva.

Triple A Mid-Atlantic reports national average prices for regular unleaded gasoline lowered to $3.14 per gallon on Oct. 17.

In Salisbury, some of the lowest prices hovered at around $2.95 per gallon – one station went as low as $2.89.

One driver said it's the lowest rate he's seen in years.

"I'm excited! I haven't seen it this low in years now," said David Quilter of Ocean City. "It seems to be constantly going up so to see it moving in the opposite direction and coming down is fantastic."

Triple A said national average prices could drop anywhere between $3.10 - $3.20 per gallon before the end of the year.
