MSP Search for Debit Card Theft Suspect

FEDERALSBURG, Md.- Maryland State Police are investigating a debit card theft that resulted in hundreds of dollars being stolen from a woman's bank account in Caroline County.

Police say on Wednesday, October 15, Sue O'Brien reported her debit card had been used multiple times by someone she did not know. Through an investigation, troopers said they discovered O'Brien's debit card had been used once at the Federalsburg PNC Bank ATM on Hayman Drive and twice at the PNC Bank on South 5th Avenue in Denton the day before.

Police said the suspect was able to retrieve more than $300 from O'Brien's bank account.

Police said security footage was obtained of the suspect who is described as a white female last seen wearing a gray hooded sweatshirt and blue jeans. Investigators the suspect is also seen driving a 2008-2011 black Mazda Tribute.
