SALISBURY, Md.- Officials say a classroom wing at Pemberton Elementary School in Salisbury was cleared Wednesday afternoon after three kindergarten students who experienced asthma-like symptoms were taken for a medical evaluation.

Tracy Sahler, a spokesperson for Wicomico County Public Schools, said the kindergarten teacher also reported similar symptoms.

Sahler said all students and staff were relocated from the school's B wing, where the classroom is located, to the gym.

The Salisbury Fire Department is assisting the school and evaluating the situation.

Officials said parents and guardians would be informed by a SchoolMessenger call and updates about the situation would be released as they become available.
