Accomack County Man Arrested for Possession of Marijuana

WORCESTER COUNTY, Md. - The Worcester County Sheriff's Office says an Accomack County man was arrested Monday for possession of Marijuana.

On Monday, October 20, at around 9:13 p.m., authorities say a Worcester County Sheriff's Office Deputy was conducting a premise check at the Public Landing Boat Ramp when the deputy saw an occupied vehicle in the parking lot of the boat ramp. Authorities say the deputy spoke with the people inside the vehicle and explained the boat ramp was closed after dark. While speaking to the people in the car, authorities say the deputy detected a strong odor of burnt Marijuana coming from the vehicle.

Police say the deputy searched the vehicle and found that the passenger in the back seat, 26-year-old Kyle Taylor Satterfield, of Hornstown, Va., had roughly 32.5 grams of Marijuana on him. Police say the deputy also seized a glass smoking pipe, a metal grinder, and two packages of rolling paper.

Police say Satterfield was placed under arrest for possession of a controlled dangerous substance and possession of paraphernalia. Police say Satterfield was taken before a district court commissioner and was released on his own personal recognizance pending a trial.
