Casino Union Appeals Termination of Contract

WILMINGTON, Del. (AP) - Attorneys for a union representing workers at New Jersey's Trump Taj Mahal Casino are appealing a Delaware bankruptcy judge's decision allowing the termination of their collective bargaining agreement.

Attorney for the union filed a notice Thursday that they will appeal the decision in federal district court in Delaware.

The bankruptcy judge voided Trump Entertainment Resorts' contract with union workers last week, giving the company what it said was a key component of a last-ditch plan to try to keep the casino open and save some 3,000 jobs.

Union members planned to picket outside the casino Friday night.
