SEAFORD, Del. - Police say a Seaford man was arrested over the weekend for trafficking heroin after they found thousand of bags of heroin and other drugs.

Seaford police say around 4:45 p.m. Saturday, they received a call regarding suspected drug activity at a storage unit at the Seaford Storage Facility on Normal Eskridge Highway.

Police say they received a description of a person, later identified as James X. Marks, 23, who was coming and going from the storage unit multiple times during the day. Police say they found Marks driving a black Ford Focus and determined his driver's license was suspended. Police say they stopped Marks in a McDonald's parking lot, but he quickly drove off.

After a brief car chase, police say Marks stopped the car on Collins Avenue and was arrested. While searching the vehicle, police say they found heroin and drug paraphernalia.

Police say they got a search warrant for the storage unit rented by Marks and recovered four loaded semi-automatic handguns, more than 4,000 packets of heroin, 288.3 grams of marijuana, 91 pills of oxycodone, and $1,451.44 in cash.

Police say Marks was charged trafficking of heroin, possession of drug paraphernalia, four counts of possession of a firearm during the commission of a felony, maintaining a drug property, driving with a suspended license, and multiple driving offenses. Police say he was arraigned before the Justice of the Peace Court #3 and committed to the Sussex Correctional Institute on a $207,000 cash bond.
