Three Motorcycles Stolen from Store in Camden

CAMDEN, Del. – Delaware State Police is currently investigating a burglary at a Camden motorcycle dealership in which three motorcycles were stolen.

Investigators say the incident occurred sometime in the early morning hours of Tuesday October 21, 2014 when a white van pulled up in front of Diamond Motor Sports located at 4595 South DuPont Highway.

Troopers say two males exited the van and began smashing out the front store window with an unknown object. The two subjects, along with a third one that was driving the van, eventually gained entry into the business and removed three motorcycles from the showroom, loading them into the van, and then driving away in an unknown direction.

Troopers say the total value of all of the motorcycles is approximately $17,500.00.

Troopers described the van as a white Chevrolet Astro Van and described the suspects as wearing dark hooded sweatshirts.

On Saturday October 25, 2014 around 5:40 p.m., troopers were dispatched to a report of a motorcycle crash in the area of the 26000 block of Bethel Concord Road, Seaford. In this incident, the motorcycle was left behind by a light skinned black male who fled the scene with another unknown male operating a gold in color motorcycle. The damaged motorcycle, which was described as a 2012 Kawasaki ZX600, was found to be one of the three stolen from Diamond Motor Sports.
