SALISBURY, Md.— This year 57 students from 19 schools throughout Maryland, Delaware and Virginia will participate in the 31st annual Eastern Shore High School Mathematics Competition at Salisbury University on Thursday Nov. 6.
The event, which is designed to test student's math and problem-solving skills, provides a fun and challenging mathematics competition focused on both individual and cooperative achievement.
The competition will be followed by an awards ceremony where awards will be presented to the three students with the highest scores in the individual round of the contest and to the three teams with the highest scores in the team round. The Ceremony will be held in the Bistro in the Commons Building located near the Guerrieri Center at 1 p.m.
The mathematics competition is co-sponsored by Delmarva Power, The Klein G. and Mary Lee Leister Foundation, and Salisbury University's Department of Mathematics & Computer Science.
