SEAFORD, Del. – The 100 Men Reading Program selected Frederick Douglass Elementary School as the site of this year's fall reading event, set to take place on Nov. 13.

Ten gentlemen will accompany Sussex County Coordinator Greg Fuller Sr. to the elementary school, according to the Seaford School District, where they will read to all of the kindergarten, first and second grade classes.

The school district said each of the 279 students will have the opportunity to choose a book to take home with them, courtesy of the program.

The 100 Men Reading Program aims to promote reading and literacy development to young children in Delaware, the Seaford School District said.

According to the school district, the program was made available to Sussex County in June 2013 and previous readings have occurred at H.O. Brittingham Elementary School in Milton, Greenwood Elementary School, and East Milsboro Elementary School.
