WOODBRIDGE, Va. (AP) - Prince William County Police say a 16-year-old student was fatally shot near his high school in Woodbridge.
Officers received a report of a shooting about 4:30 p.m. Monday near Woodbridge High School. Police found the male student dead of gunshot wounds.
Philip Kavits, a spokesman for the county school district, tells The Washington Post that the shooting occurred near a fence on a path that students sometimes use as a shortcut.
Police were looking for three men who fled the scene in a pickup truck.
