DOVER, Del. (AP/WBOC)- A Kent County judge is holding a hearing for a Smyrna woman charged with killing her husband by lacing his steroid injections with antifreeze.

Forty-four-year-old Jamie L. Baker is set to be arraigned at the Wednesday hearing. She was arrested in March and charged with first-degree murder and possession of a deadly weapon during the commission of a felony in the death of 42-year-old James D. Baker II, a competitive weightlifter who died in September 2013.

Authorities said an autopsy revealed that ethylene glycol, chemical found in antifreeze, was in his system. His death was ruled homicide by poisoning.

Investigators found syringes and liquid steroids in the couple's home located on the 2000 block of Bryn Zion Road. Police said Jamie Baker told officers she had used a hypodermic syringe to extract antifreeze from a bottle and injected it into several of her husband's steroid bottles.
