HAGERSTOWN, Md. (AP) - A man who prosecutors say drove his car into a house in Hagerstown and bit the homeowner who tried to get the keys away has been sentenced to time served.

Thirty-three-year-old Christopher Matthew Wegman was also ordered to pay more than $1,600 in restitution at sentencing Monday in Washington County Circuit Court.

On April 11, a car hit a house on Virginia Avenue. The homeowner told police he saw a man get out of the car and run away, and then return, get into the vehicle and try to start it.

According to court documents, the homeowner tried to take the car keys from the driver, and the man bit him on the thumb and leg.

Wegman was arrested near his home.
