Man Arrested for Shooting Four People In Parksley

 PARKSLEY, VA. - A multiple shooting at a party in Parksley early Sunday morning has sent four people to the hospital, and led to the arrest of a Hopeton man. Accomack County Sheriff Todd Godwin say 23-year old Jacquan Cortez Portier, is charged with 4 counts of discharging a firearm in an occupied building, 4 counts of aggravated malicious wounding, 1 counts of use of a firearm in the commission of a felony and 1 count of possession of a firearm by a convicted felon.  Portier is incarcerated in the Accomack County Jail with bond denied. 


All four gunshot victims were transported to Riverside Shore Memorial Hospital by rescue where they were subsequently transferred to a Tidewater area hospital for further treatment.  All victims are listed in stable condition.


Sheriff's office says an altercation occurred at a party on Parksley Road in Parksley, and during the fight, multiple gunshots were fired resulting in injuries to the victims. 


On Monday, Portier was taken into custody at a residence in Pungoteague with the assistance of Virginia State Police and Parksley PD.  The investigation into this incident is continuing and anyone with information on this or any other crime is asked to contact the Accomack County Sheriff's Office at 757-787-1131.
