Va. Man Pleads Guilty to Mail and Computer Fraud

Posted:
NORFOLK, Va. (AP) - A former project manager for a Newport News distributor of security equipment has pleaded guilty to mail fraud and computer fraud.

U.S. Attorney Dana Boente said 48-year-old Michael Holub entered his plea Monday in federal court in Norfolk.

According to a statement of facts filed with Holub's plea agreement, the Norfolk man worked for Convergint Technologies LLC, a supplier of security equipment not available to the general public. A company audit found that from 2010 to 2013, Holub stole equipment and sold it over the Internet on eBay. At least one package was mailed to China, causing a loss of more than $100,000 to Convergint.

Holub faces up to 25 years in prison when he is sentenced March 6.
