CRISFIELD, Md. – Crisfield police are investigating the armed robbery of Big Willey's convenience store.

It happened shortly before 11 a.m. Monday at the store, located at 3 South 7th St. When officers arrived on the scene, they found one female employee injured.

According to police, another employee said they saw a person come into the store carrying a handgun telling people this was a robbery.

The employee that was ultimately injured got into a fight with the person holding the gun, according to police. Investigators said as the two rolled on the floor, a second suspect went into the store, waving a piece of wood before hitting the employee.

Police said the first suspect then took money and both suspects left the store.

The first suspect was described as as black male, 18-22 years of age, wearing a white hoodie over his head and black pants, and wearing either a ski mask covering their face except their eyes or a cowling covering his face. He was armed with a handgun.

The second suspect was described as a black male, 18-22 years of age, wearing a gray hoodie over his head, black pants, and wearing either a ski mask covering their face except their eyes or a cowling covering his face. He was armed with a stick.

Anyone with information about this incident is asked to contact the Crisfield Police Department at (410) 968-1323.

Police say there is a reward for information that leads to the arrest and conviction of the suspects.
