Raimondo said in a statement Tuesday that Stephen Neuman is scheduled to start his new job in Rhode Island on Jan. 6. He'll also be helping with the ongoing work of the governor-elect's transition.
Neuman has served as director of public affairs for O'Malley since December of 2012. In that role, he oversaw policy and communications efforts. He also managed day-to-day operations and administration of the governor's office.
Neuman also worked as a senior adviser to O'Malley's political action committee for about three months in 2012 before moving to the governor's office. O'Malley is term limited and leaves office on Jan. 21.
