Two Men Cited for Bringing Guns to Richmond Airport

RICHMOND, Va. (AP) - Two men face state weapons charges after guns were found in their carry-on bags at Richmond International Airport.

The Transportation Security Administration says both incidents occurred Monday, but weren't related.

The agency says TSA officers staffing X-ray machines at the airport's checkpoint discovered a loaded .38-caliber semi-automatic handgun in a Meherrin man's carry-on bag. One of the rounds was in the gun's chamber.

An unloaded .38-caliber revolver was detected in a Midlothian man's carry-on bag.

Capital Region Airport Commission Police officers confiscated the guns and cited each man.
