Students Get Ready to Paint at Millsboro Middle School

MILLSBORO, Del. – Paint brushes at the ready at Millsboro Middle School.

The Joshua M. Freeman Foundation says students at the school will start a mural project next week, Monday, Dec. 8 through Thursday Dec. 11.

The foundation says about 650 students will participate in the program.

The overall theme for the murals will consist of personalized book spines that are painted by each student and once it is finished students will display it on Monday, Dec. 22.

Once complete, Millsboro Middle School will host a reveal of their students' artistic creations on Monday, December 22nd, according to the foundation.

Local artist John Donato will be instructing the students on the painting process.

There will be a Parent Paint Night at Millsboro Middle on Tuesday, Dec. 9 from 4:00 p.m. until 6:30 p.m.

The protesters were demonstrating next to a Maryland State Police trooper. In the post, Lewis referred to the protesters as "fist wielding, black power activists" who decried law enforcement officers' work.
