CLINTON, Md. (AP) - Prince George's County Police have charged three young men with first-degree murder in the stabbing death of a youth in Clinton.

Officers with the county and the Maryland-National Capital Park Police were called to Tanglewood Community Park about 1:30 p.m. after someone found the body of 17-year-old Israel Salvador Alas of Clinton. Authorities say he had trauma to his upper body.

County police said Thursday that three young men were charged with first-degree murder in Alas' death. Fifteen-year-old Blas Rosales-Cordona, 16-year-old Marco Matute 16-year-old Ever Lopez were all charged as adults.

Officers say the three believed Alas was involved in a rival gang, but police say there is no evidence linking him to a gang.
