Salisbury Police Investigate Armed Robbery at Red Light District

SALISBURY, Md.- Salisbury Police Department is investigating an armed robbery at the Red Light District on the 500 block of N. Salisbury Blvd on December 4, just after 9 p.m.   

According to Salisbury Police, the store employee reported the suspect entered the store and ran up to the counter where the employee was standing. The suspect produced a handgun and pointed it at the employee while demanding money. Police say the suspect was given an undisclosed amount of money, removed a store telephone, and ran from the scene.     

With the assistance of the Wicomico County Sheriffs Office, a K-9 track for the suspect was conducted but was unsuccessful.

The suspect is identified as approximately 5'9'' and 140 pounds.  Police say at the time of the armed robbery the suspect was wearing blue jeans, black sneakers, black coat with a black hood pulled over his head, wearing a red glove on his right hand, what appears to be a black sock on his left hand with a black mask covering his entire face, except for his eyes.

Police say no injuries reported during this incident.

The investigation is ongoing and police are requesting the public's assistance in identifying the suspect. Anyone with information is asked to contact the Salisbury Police Department or Crime Solvers (410) 548-1776.
