The Dover Police Department says officers responded to a report of a pedestrian struck by a vehicle in the area of Leipsic Road and Plaza Drive just before 2:30 a.m. Wednesday. Police say a 25-year-old woman was attempting to walk eastbound across Leipsic Road and Plaza Drive, and was struck by a 2012 Chrysler 200 that was traveling eastbound on Leipsic Road.

Police say the woman was wearing all black and was not wearing any reflective clothing or carrying a flashlight at the time of the accident. Police say she was pronounced dead at the scene.
