Scarborough Sentencing Is Being Delayed

Posted:
SALISBURY, MD - Sentencing has been delayed for Wicomico county teenager Jocori Scarborough. The 18-year old Scarborough was to be sentenced Wednesday morning after being found guilty of second degree rape, second degree assault, and other charges stemming from an incident back in May at Parkside High School. Scarborough was accused of raping a fellow student in a hallway while school was in session.

Wednesday in court, the teen's attorney said he did not have access to the pre-sentencing investigation before this morning, and needed time to review it with his client.

The judge scheduled the sentencing for next Wednesday. On the second degree rape charge alone, Scarborough faces up to 30 years in jail.
