SALISBURY, Md. – Downtown Salisbury is preparing for the final Third Friday of the year, to be held December 19.
Huge sales and an Ugly Christmas Sweater Party are among the highlights. Enza's An Organic Salon will also be celebrating its 8th anniversary that day with cake, caroling, discounts on organic hair product, and a buy-one-get-one gift card offer. Other places to do shopping include Bury Apparel, where short-sleeve t-shirts will be on sale for $5, Angello's Unique Gifts, Kuhn's Jewelers on the Plaza and Gallery 101.
Those looking for artwork can peruse the selections at the Art Institute and Gallery's Holiday Starving Artist Show and the Chrismahanukwanzakah Student Art Sale at Salisbury University Galleries Downtown Campus, featuring glass blowing, photography, fine art and crafts. Gift wrapping services will be available; all proceeds will benefit the American Cancer Society.
The downtown area will be alive with music this Third Friday. Local Horn Ensemble Bay Brass will be performing its Christmas program on the Plaza Stage from 6 to 7 p.m. B&B's Open Mic Holiday Spectacular will bring caroling to the Parker Place Building, where performers and groups of all sorts can perform their favorite tunes. Holiday music, food and drink can also be enjoyed at the Salisbury Wicomico Arts Council. SWAC is celebrating becoming the first arts group in Henson History to receive the 2014 Richard A. Henson Award for Non-Profit Excellence from the Community Foundation of the Eastern Shore.
