Man Robbed at Knifepoint in Dover


DOVER, Del.- Dover police say a man riding his bicycle to work was robbed at knifepoint late Saturday afternoon. 

Police the incident happened shortly after 5 p.m., when the 27-year-old victim was riding to work in the area of Governors Avenue and Mary Street and was approached by an unknown male suspect who asked for a light (lighter). Police said the suspect then reportedly produced a wood-handled steak knife and told the victim, "You already know what it is,” and took the victim's cellphone, wallet and an undisclosed amount of cash. The suspect then fled in an unknown direction. 

The suspect was described as a black male in his late teens/early 20s, 5-foot-10, 150-160 pounds, wearing a black hooded sweatshirt, white shoes, and white socks on his hands.
