Sheriff's Office Investigating Escape from Somerset County Detention Center

WESTOVER, Md. - The Somerset County Sheriff's Office is currently investigating an escape from the Somerset County Detention Center.

Deputies say on December 16, 2014, at around 1:36 p.m., William Clyde Conley was on work release from the Detention Center at the Landfill.

Deputies say Conley apparently left the landfill in a white pickup truck, bearing Maryland Registration LG85144 assigned to the landfill. At the time of the walk off, Conley was wearing a white shirt and blue jeans.

Conley was being held for Queen Anne County Detention Center for Assault 2nd Degree. It is believed he has returned to Queen Anne County.

Anyone with information is asked to contact the Somerset County Sheriff's Office.
