Harrington Man Arrested for Stabbing Nephew

HARRINGTON, Del.– A Harrington man is behind bars following accusations that he stabbed his 18-year-old nephew on Wednesday. 

Harrington police say 22-year-old Todd Fisher was in a home on High Street with his nephew when the two started arguing. During the argument, the nephew punched Fisher in the face. Fisher then stabbed his nephew once in the upper chest, police said.

When officer arrived, Fisher was still in the home. He was taken into custody while police administered first aid to his nephew. Police said Fisher's nephew was taken to Milford Memorial Hospital and later Kent General Hospital and was admitted for possible life-threatening injuries.

Fisher was charged with first-degree assault and possession of a deadly weapon during the commission of a felony. He was arraigned and committed to the Sussex Correctional Institute in default of $20,000 secured bond.
