Wilmington Police Investigating Fatal Shooting

WILMINGTON, Del. (AP) - Wilmington police are investigating a fatal shooting that claimed the life of a 43-year-old man.

Police say officers were dispatched to the 700 block of Vandever Avenue in Wilmington on Friday night after receiving reports of a shooting. Police say when the officers arrived they discovered a man, identified as Derrick Caudle of Wilmington, suffering from a gunshot wound to the abdomen. Caudle was taken to the hospital where he died of his injuries early Saturday.

Police say no suspects have been identified, and are investigating the incident.
