Dover Police Arrest Pair of Out of State Fugitives


DOVER, Del. – Two out of state fugitives are in police custody after police arrested them at a Dover hotel Sunday night.

At 10:14 p.m. the Dover Police Department learned that Briana Mitchell, 41, and Leonard Bernard, 35, of Philadelphia, were staying in a room at the Mainstay Suites on Stover Boulevard. According to police, both were wanted by the West Whiteland Township Police Department in Pennsylvania for the home invasion and robbery of an elderly victim.

Responding officers verified the pair's identity and took them into custody without incident.

Both individuals were charged with out of state fugitive and are being held on secured bond pending extradition to Pennsylvania.
