SMYRNA, Del.- Delaware State Police say they have arrested a suspect wanted for burglarizing a Smyrna area home four times since October.

On Monday, Dec. 22, detectives received a telephone tip from a citizen who recognized the suspect depicted in surveillance photos that were released to the media earlier that day. Police said that at the same time, troopers were being dispatched back to the area of Cedar Court for a burglary in progress. Troopers said that upon their arrival, Joshua M. Masten, 29, of Smyrna, was taken into custody without incident at his home nearby and identified as the suspect in both incidents.

Police said the investigation revealed Masten had broken into the same home four times since Oct. 3, 2014, and stole items such as a laptop computer, a guitar, and currency.

Masten was transported back to Troop 3 where he was charged with four counts of second-degree burglary, one count of attempted burglary, four counts of theft, one count of attempted theft, and three counts of criminal mischief. He was arraigned at JP2 and released on $26,500 unsecured bond.

Police said no other suspects are being sought in this case.
