DOVER, Del. - Delaware State Police are asking the public for help in identifying a female suspect in an identity theft case.

Troopers say on Wednesday, Dec. 10, they were contacted by a 35-year-old woman from New York after she said she received several bills in the mail from various businesses in Kent County, Delaware. In each of these cases, the woman told police department store credit cards were opened in her name and numerous items were charged totaling thousands of dollars.

Police have released a surveillance photo which depicts the suspect as a black female with a thin build, wearing black yoga pants with brown boots, a black jacket, and a red purse. Police say the suspect may be operating a dark colored, 4-door sport style vehicle.
