HARRINGTON, Del. - A families services worker in Delaware is charged with sexual extortion, according to police.

Authorities say 52-year-old Gregory J. Bunkley, of Dover, surrendered to the Harrington Police Department on Tuesday after an arrest warrant had been issued. Bunkley is a case worker with the Delaware Division of Family Services.

Police say Bunkley was investigated in August after a woman came forward to report claims that she was intimidated and coerced into performing sexual acts on him. Police say the alleged victim was afraid that if she did not, that Bunkley would use his position's authority to take her children away from her.

Bunkley is charged with sexual extortion, which is a class E felony, and official misconduct, which is a class A misdemeanor. Bunkley was arraigned via video phone at the Justice of the Peace Court 2 in Lewes and subsequently committed to Sussex Correctional Institute in lieu of $7,000 secured bond, according to police.

Police say that while Bunkley has been charged, the investigation is ongoing. Anyone with information is urged to contact Detective Sgt. Adam Gillespie of the Harrington Police Department at (302) 398-4493.
