EASTON, Md. – A Cambridge man has been charged with writing a bad check after an incident in May at an Easton liquor store.

Easton police say they were notified Sunday that the Cambridge Police Department had a warrant out for the arrest of Drequan Watson. Police formally charged him with theft under $1,000 and bad check for an incident that allegedly occurred at the East End Liquors Package Store located on Dover Street on May 15.

According to police, on that aforementioned date Watson presented and received cash for a bad check that had been issued from a false account.

Watson is currently awaiting trial.
