Suspect Sought in Dover Gas Station Heist

DOVER, Del.- Dover police are asking the public's help in identifying a suspect wanted for holding up a a city gas station at gunpoint on Sunday evening.

Police said that just after 8 p.m., an unknown male suspect armed with a black semi-automatic handgun, entered the Valero/Shore Stop, located 1358 Forrest Ave., and demanded money from the clerk. The suspect then fled with an undisclosed amount of cash and was last seen fleeing northwest across Forrest Avenue, toward Kenton Road. 

According to police, the suspect was described as wearing white sneakers, blue jeans, a camouflage jacket and a black mask over his face. He was also described as being white, between 5-foot-8 and 5-foot-10 and 160-170 pounds. 

There were no reported injuries.
