BEAR, Del. (AP) - Delaware State Police say five people were hurt in a 3-vehicle crash in Bear.

It happened about 4:50 p.m. Monday on DuPont Highway. Troopers say 53-year-old Dale Porter of Portsmouth, Virginia, was driving a Freightliner tractor-trailer south when he hit the back of a Honda Civic.

Police say the Civic came to rest in the center median, and the tractor-trailer hit the rear of a BMW X-3.

Officers say the driver of the BMW, 38-year-old Enid Torres-Rolon of New Castle, and her four passengers were taken to a local hospital for treatment of non-life-threatening injuries.

Porter was cited for inattentive driving.
