Delaware's Division of Public Health Offering Free Flu Vaccines

DOVER, Del.- Delaware's Division of Public Health is offering free flu vaccines through January 29.

The free vaccines are being offered to those who have no healthcare provider or whose insurance does not cover flu vaccinations. A flu clinic is being held Thursday, January 15 from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. in the Legislative Hall Library, located at 411 Legislative Ave. in Dover for individuals meeting the aforementioned requirements aged 6 months and up. Photo identification is required, and no appointment is necessary.

Free flu vaccines will also be available by appointment only through January 29 at the following locations:

· Hudson State Service Center, 501 Ogletown Rd., Newark, DE 19711. Call 302-283-7587 to make an appointment Monday through Friday.

· Williams State Service Center, 805 River Rd., Dover, DE 19901. Call 302-857-5130 to make an appointment Monday through Thursday from 8:00 a.m. - 3:30 p.m.

· Milford State Service Center – Riverwalk, 253 NE Front St., Milford, DE 19963. Call 302-424-7130 to make an appointment Monday, Wednesday, or Thursday.

Individuals with Medicaid or Medicare should bring their insurance card, as their insurance will be billed. Donations will be accepted for those without Medicare or Medicaid. Attendees should print out the Vaccine Administration Record form at www.flu.delaware.gov and complete the form for each person who will be vaccinated. Bring the forms with you to the clinic site.

Flu vaccinations are also available through physicians, pharmacies, and many grocery stores.
