Storm Slickens Virginia Roads, Troopers Respond to 85 Wrecks

RICHMOND, Va. (AP) - Virginia State Police report 85 wrecks across the state due to roads slickened by a winter storm.

State police spokeswoman Corinne Geller says no injuries were reported in a majority of the wrecks on Wednesday morning.

More than half the accidents have occurred in the Richmond metro area. Geller says the state police's Richmond Division has responded to 46 wrecks.
