Man Gets 30 Year Sentence In Death of Smyrna Resident

DOVER, Del.- Delaware Department of Justice Deputy Attorneys General Jason Cohee and Nicole Hartman secured a 30 year prison sentence against 23 year old Juan Restrepo-Duque on Thursday. Restrepo-Duque was found guilty in December in the 2010 killing 61 year old Kenton W. “Wes” Wolf of Smyrna.

The two men met after connecting on a dating website, with the then 18-year old Restrepo-Duque visiting Wolf's home on two occasions.  In February 2010, Restrepo-Duque reportedly told investigators that the two men were drinking beer in Wolf's bedroom when Wolf made a sexual advance.

Restrepo-Duque allegedly grabbed a knife on a night stand next to the bed, cut Wolf's throat and stabbed him repeatedly, according to a police affidavit. Restrepo-Duque stabbed the victim 18 times and shot him with a BB gun 7 times.

A jury convicted Restrepo-Duque of second degree murder, possession of a deadly weapon during the commission of a felony, theft of a motor vehicle, and carrying a concealed deadly instrument.
