Dover Police Search For Suspect Who Robbed Liquor Store Through Roof

DOVER, Del. – Police are searching for a suspect they say broke into a Dover liquor store through the roof Saturday afternoon and stole items and money.

According to the Dover Police Department, the suspect gained access to the roof of Happy 13 Liquors at around 4:50 p.m. Saturday,

Officers say he removed a 12-foot by 12-foot fan that was bolted to the roof and then tied an extension cord around an A/C unit to lower himself inside the business.

Once inside, the suspect opened a cash register with a pry bar and took an undisclosed amount of cash, money orders and checks, according to police.

The suspect is described as possibly a white male, 5-foot-7 to 5 feet 8 inches tall.

Anyone with information about this burglary is asked to contact the City of Dover Police Department Criminal Investigation Unit.
