Two Sussex County Men Arrested on Drug Charges


SEAFORD, Del. – Two Sussex County men will answer to various drug charges after police recovered heroin, drug paraphernalia and a large amount of cash from inside a vehicle.

Officers from the Seaford Police Department say they came in contact with Aaron Hopkins, 28, of Millsboro, and Michael McCray, 27, of Laurel, on Monday around 11:40 a.m. after responding to a report of suspicious activity in the parking lot of the Royal Farms on High Street.

According to the officers, the suspects were seated inside a vehicle, where a large amount of cash was visible.

Upon removing the suspects from the vehicle, police say they also discovered 88 baggies of heroin and drug paraphernalia. The cash totaled $2,738.

Police arrested the suspects on the scene for possession of heroin, possession with intent to deliver heroin, possession of drug paraphernalia and loitering.

Hopkins was committed to the Department of Corrections in default of $40,600 cash bond, according to Seaford police. McCray was released on $5,150 unsecured bond.
