FREDERICK, Md. (AP) - Authorities say three people have been charged after an attempt to use counterfeit money at a Cracker Barrel restaurant in Frederick.

The Frederick County Sheriff's Office says two women and one man were arrested outside the restaurant after one of them tried to use a bogus $50 bill.

Deputies say 39-year-old Angela Keys tried to buy something with the counterfeit bill on Tuesday morning, and when the cashier started questioning the bill, 39-year-old Anthony Chaconas started making a scene to distract restaurant employees. Deputies say Keys then left the restaurant but was arrested a short time later after officers pulled over a car she was riding in. The driver, 26-year-old Dominique Parrish, was also arrested.

Deputies say they found several counterfeit $50 bills inside the car, along with drugs.
