Police Search for Two Suspects in Parking Lot Attempted Robbery

WILMINGTON, Del. – Delaware State Police are investigating an attempted robbery in a parking lot Thursday night.

It happened at 7:25 p.m. outside Sleepy's mattress store located on Kirkwood Highway.

Police say a 44-year-old Pennsylvania man was standing in the parking lot when two male suspects approached him, one holding a brick.

According to police, the suspects demanded money, but the victim did not comply. The victim got a broom stick from his car, as which time the suspects took off.

They were last seen running behind the Sleepy's. The victim was not injured.

The suspects were both described as Hispanic males, 15-17 years of age, and 5'04”-6'00” tall. One of the suspects was last seen wearing an orange hooded sweatshirt and had a bandana covering his face. He was also armed with a brick. The second suspect was last seen wearing a black jacket and dark pants.
