Father and Son Arrested on Drug and Weapons Charges

FRANKFORD, Del.- The Delaware State Police have arrested a father and son after investigating a burglary.

Detectives were investigating a home burglary on Jan. 28 near Ocean View. During the investigation, detectives learned that Elijah L. Foreman, Jr., 23, of Frankford, may be in possession of a handgun that was stolen during the burglary.

On Jan. 30, detectives say they saw Elijah Foreman driving a Ford Explorer in the near DE Rt. 24 and US Rt. 113, in Millsboro. Police say they conducted a traffic stop, and Foreman was taken into custody without incident.

Troopers say a pat down search of Foreman revealed that he had a loaded .380 caliber Ruger handgun, which police say was reported stolen in that burglary.

Police say they also found more than $2,800 in suspected drug sale proceeds.

Troopers say when they searched his vehicle, they found 11 grams of crack cocaine, .5 grams of marijuana, ammunition, ten dosage units of counterfeit heroin and drug paraphernalia.

Detectives, with the assistance of the Delaware State Police Special Operations Response Team, then responded to Foreman's home in the 28000 block of Blueberry Lane.

According to state police, when they arrived they came into contact with Elijah L. Foreman, Sr., 45, and took him into custody without incident.

Detectives say they then executed a search warrant of the home and located drug paraphernalia, 120 dosage units of counterfeit heroin, over 42 grams of crack cocaine, and over 15 grams of powder cocaine. They say they also located more than $30,000 in suspected drug proceeds.

Elijah Foreman, Jr. was arrested and charged with Receiving a Stolen Firearm, Possession with the Intent to Deliver Crack Cocaine, Possession of a Firearm by a Person Prohibited, Possession with the Intent to Deliver Powder Cocaine, Possession with the Intent to Deliver Counterfeit Heroin, 3 counts of Possession of Drug Paraphernalia, and Violation of Probation. He was then arraigned and committed to the Sussex Correctional Institute for lack of $75,000.00 secured bond.

Elijah Foreman, Sr. was arrested and charged with Possession with the Intent to Deliver Heroin, Possession of Cocaine in a Tier 5 Quantity, and Possession of Drug paraphernalia. He was then arraigned and committed to the Sussex Correctional Institution for lack of $20,250 secured bond.
