ANNAPOLIS, Md. (AP)- The Maryland Senate is scheduled to take up Cabinet nominations again.
The Senate could vote Friday on some of Gov. Larry Hogan's Cabinet appointments. Senators were initially scheduled to vote on five of them last week, but the vote was delayed to give senators more time to review the nominations.
The delay also was an expression of displeasure from Senate Democrats who weren't happy about the governor's State of the State speech.
The Republican governor said in his speech last week that Maryland has a "floundering" economy, and Democrats criticized that characterization.
