Health Coverage Enrollment Help on Delmarva as Deadline Approaches

Posted:
DELMARVA - Sunday is the last day to sign up for 2015 health coverage through the Health Insurance Market Place.

To enroll, officials say enrollees need to bring birth dates and Social Security numbers, pay stubs, W-2 forms or other information about your family's income. Also, officials say to bring policy/member numbers for current health coverage and information about job related health coverage available to you or your family.

Enrollment assistant specialists are available this weekend in multiple locations throughout Delmarva. Help is free and no appointment is needed.

Residents who are not exempt or do not buy insurance for 2015 could face up to $325 for each adult, plus $162.50 for each child not covered, or 2 percent of their household income depending on which is higher.

To schedule an appointment in Delaware, visit www.ChooseHealthDE.com

In Maryland, navigators and representatives from Seedco, who is contracted with the Maryland Health Exchange to enroll Maryland Eastern Shore residents, are available this weekend to help enrollees. If you are interested in speaking with any Seedco representatives or attending a Maryland event, please contact susanobrienpr@verizon.net or call 443-254-6000, or you can visit seedco.org.
