DSP: Three Arrested in Connection with Illegal Drug Sales

FRANKFORD, Del.- The Delaware State Police have arrested three people after an investigation into illegal drug sales from homes in Frankford and Georgetown.

On Feb. 20, detectives executed search warrants of residences located in the near Reed Street in Frankford and at the Dunbarton Oaks Apartments in Georgetown after learning that Antonio K. Jones, 37, and Darrell Dixon, 40, were conducting illegal drug sales from the homes.

Police arrested Jones and his girlfriend, 40-year-old Patricia Ayers, after a traffic stop on Zion Church Road in Frankford. A search warrant was then conducted at their residence located on Reed Street. Detectives say they recovered 195 grams of powder cocaine, 313 grams of crack cocaine, over two pounds of marijuana, and over $26,000.00 in cash.

Police arrested Dixon in a separate traffic stop on DuPont Boulevard in Georgetown. Police say a search of Dixon revealed that he was in possession of 8.2 grams of powder cocaine. A secondary search warrant was then conducted of Dixon's residence at the Dunbarton Apartments, where police say they found a 7.62 SKS semi-automatic rifle.

Antonio Jones and Patricia Ayers were both arrested and charged with 2 counts of Possession of Cocaine in a Tier 5 Quantity, 2 counts of Possession with the Intent to Deliver Cocaine in a Tier 4 Quantity, Possession of Marijuana in a Tier 1 Quantity, Conspiracy 2nd Degree, and 2 counts of Possession of Drug Paraphernalia. They were then arraigned at JP Court 2. Antonio Jones was committed to the Sussex Correctional Institution for lack of $255,400 cash bail. Ayers was committed to the Delores Baylor Correctional Institution for lack of $255,400 cash bail.

Darrell Dixon was arrested and charged with Possession with the Intent to Deliver Cocaine, Possession of Cocaine in a Tier 1 Quantity, and 2 counts of Possession of Drug Paraphernalia. He was arraigned at JP Court 2 and committed to the Sussex Correctional Institution for lack of $31,000 cash bail.
