Baltimore Police Shoot Man After Traffic Stop

BALTIMORE (AP) - Baltimore police are investigating after officers used a stun gun and shot a man during a traffic stop.

Col. Garnell Green said two officers stopped the man, who has not been identified, as he was driving on Fremont Avenue on Sunday afternoon. Green said the man got out of his car and "what happened after that is under investigation."

Green said one officer deployed a stun gun and another officer shot the man.

Green said the man is in critical but stable condition and is being treated at a local hospital. No officers were injured during the incident.

Green did not say if the man was armed or why he was stopped.

Baltimore police spokesman Det. Jeremy Silbert did not say if a weapon was found on scene.
